The Veterinary Technology Program at Portland Community College awards a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree that prepares students to handle diverse medical responsibilities at animal hospitals, research laboratories, zoos and other locations. The Oregon Employment Department long-term employment projections in Portland's Multnomah County area predict faster than average growth for all animal health occupations from 2004 to 2014.
